Baking and Storing Shaped Cookies Tips





Most of the housewives complain from failing in preparing shaped cookies successfully in spite of using the accurate ingredients. This text aims at providing you with the secrets of reaching the results you dream of without extra efforts.

Firstly, while baking shaped cookies you should:
- prepare the ingredients of the cookies before starting. Make sure that the butter, margarine, and cream cheese are soft and ready for being used directly.
- Prepare the other ingredients including chopped nuts, peeled and sliced fruits and melted chocolate and then take the suitable amount you need for your cookies. Pay attention to the measuring and use kitchen equipments including measuring cup, scale and half-spoon for having the accurate taste.
- Prepare cookies sheets, with no sides or with short sides for perfect results.
- Preheat the oven before starting baking
- Spread Oil over the baking sheets before placing your dough, and while baking rotate the sheet from time to time to have all the cookies baked at the same way.
- For preparing browning cookies, bake one at a time and place in the center of the oven with rotating it from time to time till being done.
- Set the cooking sheet aside for a while to cool and then oil it and put your cookies
- Make sure that the dough is wrapped with a plastic cover while baking and if there is extra dough that you want to store, you can put it in the refrigerator for a week or in the freezer in a firmly closed plastic bag for a month.

After baking cookies the way you like, it is necessary to store it in a correct way to keep its good taste and texture. It is recommended to keep separately in the room temperature and put in airtight containers. For getting ride of the soggy look of the crisp cookies, put in heated oven at moderate fire for 5 minutes. Wrap the cookies with sticky glazes, fragile decorations, and icings in single layers in waxed paper.
If you prepared large amounts of cookies and you need to store it for several months, you can put in the freezer bags for 3 months.
