How To Repair Yout Toaster
Toaster is one of the main and most used appliances in many kitchens all over the world. Due to its daily use in preparing the toasted bread of the breakfast, many small bread crumbs tap in the bottom in the toaster. Removing the bread Crumbs:
Sometimes one notice that the toaster is not working smoothly and the bread and other foods can not be heated well. This is the main symptom that the toaster is not working properly. There are certain things to solve such problem:
- remove the levers, knobs, fasteners, and the end panel
- Remove the latch, and the bread crumbs to keep it clear and smooth.
- Return everything as it was and make sure that the toaster is working well.
Repairing the Chassis:
Sometimes the chassis breaks down and hinder the toaster from working properly. In this case you should:
- Remove levers, knobs, and fasteners
- Shell off the chassis and check it to know whether it is in need for replacing it with another one or just fixing some parts of it.
- Return all the parts and turn the toaster on to make sure it is working.
Repairing the Thermostat:
Thermostat is another important part of the toaster because it is responsible telling the solenoid how long you want the heating elements to toast the bread. When you find the toaster unable to toast bread the way you ordered, make sure that you need to recalibrate the toaster. For repairing the thermostat, you can:
- Let the toaster to cool and then start cleaning and repairing it
- get ride of all the crumbs to make sure that this is not the problem
- Start recalibrating the thermostat by, turning the toaster over on its top, and opening the crumb tray cover.
- On most units, a bracket from the control
- Knob will be visible. On this bracket there will be a calibration knob, or screw that can be turned to recalibrate the thermostat.
- If the toast is very dark you can shorten the toasting cycle by moving the bracket toward the solenoid.

Repairing solenoid:
If the toaster makes the bread so dark or so light, this means that the solenoid is not working properly. It is placed directly next to the thermostat, so for reaching it you should follow the same steps of repairing the thermostat. Check the brackets, the screw or the nut of the solenoid, if you found it totally broken down, you can replace it with another one.
